The national standard for disaster management, as mandated by NIMS, is Incident Command. Using the HICS system in hopsital settings is mandated for JCAHO accredidation.
Our HICS course is designed for hospital staff who may be expected to be assigned a role in the incident command systen in the event of a disaster. Employees learn their roles and responsibilities in the chain of command, and are taught the processes necessary to manage a disaster from beginning to end.
Facilities must have an existing HICS plan in place to benefit from this training. If no plan is in place, we will be happy to asisst you in the development of your plan. |
